It is with the most wholehearted sadness and sympathy that we join the New South Wales community in paying tribute to former APIA player, Constable Mia Lay, who tragically lost her life whilst on duty last weekend.
Mia played three seasons for our club across JDL and Girls Youth programs, and was always a vibrant, energetic player and person and team-first squad member.
Rest in eternal peace, Mia. ❤️
And as we bid goodbye to Season 2026 across the club, please join us in thanking the partners, sponsors and supporters that allowed our girls and women to take to the fields across New South Wales and once again compete at the highest levels this season.
Each and every one of our GJDL & GYL teams are backed by a strong and proud network of supporting organisations, who when combined together, make our club the incredible club that it is. Thank you, everyone, for an amazing 2026 ❤️
